Hawa's Privacy Policy
This Hawa Privacy Policy explains how Hawa (“Hawa” “we” “our”) handles any personal data we collect from visitors and users of our application-related services (collectively, the “Hawa Services”)
We value the privacy of our users and others who visit and use the Hawa Services (collectively or individually, “you” or “User”) and want you to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose personal information from you.
When using the Hawa Services, you may share personal information. One example is when you provide information about yourself during the process of creating a Hawa account. Another example is when you take certain public or intentionally public actions on the Hawa Services, such as when you post content, post profile information, etc. Given the social nature of some of the Hawa Services, this information may be collected, used or disclosed by others participating in that social interaction. In addition, certain features of the Hawa Services are designed to provide information about user activity to others, such as identifying the user who created a particular clip or the subscription status of a user of a particular channel. We encourage you to be aware of this when considering your activities on the Hawa Services.

1. What information we collect
When we provide Hawa services, we will obtain your information in the following ways. Please note that we need certain types of information so that we can provide you with Hawa services.

Information provided by users.
When you create an account on the App or use Hawa services, such as uploading content on the App or contacting us for technical support, you agree to provide some or all of the following personal information.
- Registration information, such as your date of birth, phone number (or email, if applicable), user identity and language.
- Profile information, such as your alias, profile picture, gender, self-description.
- User-generated content (“UGC”), such as comments, text, messages, pictures, images, videos, sounds, code, or other data or materials that you upload, distribute, or stream on the App when using the Hawa Services.
- Payment information, such as full name, billing address, billing zip code, billing country, date of birth, purchase amount, payment method, credit or debit card number, or other payment information required for payment.
- Transaction information, such as transaction sequence number and transaction history since you purchased the Paid Services.
- Your choices and communications with us, such as information used to verify your account or resolve your feedback or complaints; and information you provide when participating in in-app surveys and activities.
- Information you provide when you create a Hawa account by linking a third-party social media channel (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google) or when you link your Hawa account to a third-party social media account.
Information collected for legitimate interests
When you use the Hawa Services for legitimate interests, we may collect some or all of the following personal information from you.
- Web activity information, such as your browsing history, search history, videos or web pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, other users' accounts you subscribe to, and information about your interactions with other users.
- Information from other sources. We may obtain Other Information from third parties and sources outside of the Hawa Services. For example, we may obtain Other Information from games or services you use, or social media networks (such as Facebook) to which you grant us access. When you access the Hawa Services through a social media network, or when you connect the Hawa Services to a social media network, you authorize Hawa to collect, store, and use such Other Information and content in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- Device identifiers, such as your operating system, browser type, mobile device brand, model, and serial number, Internet Protocol (IP) address, mobile carrier, screen resolution, language settings, IMEI number, IMSI number, and media access control address.
- Information about your access to and use of other applications.
- Other location information, such as information based on your SIM card.
- Mobile advertising identifiers, which are used by mobile operating systems and provided to advertising vendors to collect metrics on mobile apps (Apple's IDFA or Google's AAID), helping us and advertisers to deliver ads that may be more relevant to your interests.
- Cookies are small pieces of data that enable us to provide certain features and are collected by us or our business partners to measure and understand the pages you click on and how you use the Hawa Services, and to enhance your experience using the Hawa Services.
We may also collect, use, and share information about you to generate and share aggregate insights that do not identify you. Aggregate data may be derived from your personal information but is not considered personal information because it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users who access a specific website feature, generate statistics about our users, calculate the percentage of users who access a specific website feature, or count the number of ad impressions served or clicked.
The storage and access of cookies in connection with the Hawa Services are governed by the Hawa Cookie Policy (“Cookie Policy”).
2. How We Use Your Information
We may also collect information that your browser sends when you access the Services through a mobile device (“Usage Data”). When you access the Services through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include the type of mobile device you use, the unique ID of your mobile device, the IP address of your mobile device, and other diagnostic data. Our products integrate with the AppsFlyer SDK, which collects your advertising ID in order to collect data about user usage of your application or application performance and to send inquiries or notifications about you or your application.
We use your personal information only as permitted by applicable law. In general, we use your personal information for the following purposes.
- Location: This feature is used to see nearby users and allow other users to find you, but you can choose not to provide location information.
- Phone number: Used to register your account.
This app does use third-party services that may collect information that can be used to identify you.

- Providing services: To present the Hawa Services and their content to you, including any interactive features on the Hawa Services, and to provide you with information, products, or services that you allow us to provide; we also collect and use personal information to verify your eligibility and to provide prizes in connection with promotions and sweepstakes.
- Service improvement: To improve and personalize our Services by suggesting new services, information, suggestions, and feedback.
- Customer management: To manage the accounts of registered users, to provide registered users with customer support and notifications about their accounts or subscriptions, and about changes to the Hawa Services or any other products or services we offer through them.
- Communications: To communicate and interact directly with you, for example, we may send notifications about upcoming changes or improvements to the Hawa Services.
- Content Review: Review images, graphics, and content posted or generated on the Hawa Services to ensure that we comply with any applicable content regulations in any relevant jurisdiction.
- Content Customization: Research and analyze your use of or interest in content, products, advertising, or services available on the Hawa Services in order to develop and display content tailored to your interests on our websites and applications.
- Performance Analysis: Determine whether a user of the Hawa Services is unique or whether the same user uses the Hawa Services multiple times, and monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, number of videos viewed, and demographic patterns.
- Functionality and Safety: Identify users who do not meet age restrictions, diagnose or fix technical issues, and detect, prevent, and respond to actual or potential fraud, illegal activity, or intellectual property infringement.
- Compliance: Enforce our Terms of Use and comply with our legal obligations.
- Aggregation: Aggregate the information we collect about you for one or more of the purposes listed above.
In addition, we may use your email or other login or device information to associate your contact or subscriber information with your Platform activity across all devices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and their information practices are not subject to this Privacy Policy.
You can refuse or disable cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Because each browser is different, please consult the instructions provided by your browser. Please note that you may need to take additional steps to refuse or disable certain types of cookies. In addition, your opt-out choice is specific to the particular browser or device you are using when you opt-out, so you may need to opt-out separately for each browser or device. If you choose to refuse, disable or delete cookies, certain features of the Platform may no longer be available to you.
Please note that we may process your personal information for more than one lawful reason, depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your personal information.

When you want to log in or register with the app using Facebook, we recommend that you do this on a mobile device with the Facebook app installed.
3. How we share your information
- Please note that if your profile is public, your content will be visible to anyone on the platform, and your friends and followers, as well as third parties such as search engines, content aggregators and news sites, may also be able to access or share your content. Each time you upload a video, you can change who can see the video or image.
- We may also share your information with other members of our group of companies, subsidiaries or affiliates to improve, optimize the platform and prevent illegal use.
- We may share your personal information outside of the Hawa Services with your consent, whether explicit or implicit.
- We may disclose your personal information to members of our corporate group (i.e. entities that control us, are controlled by us, or are under common control with us) to the extent necessary for the Services, customer management, content customization, advertising, analytics, authentication, functionality and security, and compliance.
- We may disclose your personal information to authorized service providers who provide certain services on our behalf. These services may include order fulfillment, credit card payment processing, customized content, analytics, security, mapping navigation, data storage and cloud services, support for our features, and other functionality available through the Hawa Services. These service providers may have access to personal information necessary to perform their functions but may not share or use such information for any other purpose. However, if you connect to a third-party service through the Hawa Services or otherwise link your Hawa account to a third-party service, you are requesting and authorizing us to share or authorize access to information with that third party on your behalf. We may also send information about the content you view or your activities on the Hawa Services to that third party to enhance your experience on the Hawa Services.
- In the event of a merger, divestiture, reorganization, restructuring, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, personal information we hold about our users would be among the assets transferred, and we may disclose or share your personal information with the buyer or other successor. In the event of such a sale or transfer, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the entity to which we transfer your personal information uses it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
- We may access, maintain, and share your personal information with regulators, law enforcement agencies, or other agencies when we have reason to believe that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address illegal or suspected illegal activity, security or technical issues; (d) protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our company, users, employees, or other third parties; or (e) maintain and protect the security and integrity of Hawa’s services or infrastructure.
- We may disclose aggregate information about our users. We may also share aggregate information with third parties for general business analysis. This information does not contain any personal information and may be used to develop content and services that we hope will be of interest to you and other users.
4. International Data Transfers
Your personal information may be processed by us (and our trusted third-party vendors) outside of your country of residence, including in countries where data protection and privacy laws or regulations may be the same or equivalent to those in your country of residence. Subject to applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulations, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that your personal information remains protected and secure when transferred outside of your country to jurisdictions that have a lower level of protection for personal data. These measures include, where applicable, transfers pursuant to data transfer agreements that implement standard data protection clauses.
We may also transfer your personal information outside of your country of residence in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulations. For example, we need to transfer your personal information (a) to enter into a contract with you (or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract); (b) to perform a contract for you; or (c) in connection with a legal claim.

We do not control, do not review, and are not responsible for these third-party websites or mobile applications or their content. Please note that the terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these third-party websites or mobile applications or content, or to any information collected after you click on a link to these third-party websites, mobile applications or content.
6. Data Security
We take appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. For example, only authorized employees are allowed to access personal information, and they may access personal information only for permitted business functions. In addition, we use encryption technology when transmitting certain personal information between your system and our system, and use firewalls to help prevent unauthorized access to your personal information. However, please note that we cannot completely eliminate the security risks associated with storing and transmitting your personal information. You should exercise caution when submitting information through the Hawa Services and should be particularly careful when deciding what information to provide to us.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account information at all times.
7. Your Choices
You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that when you choose to disable cookies, it will be specific to the particular browser or device you use, so you may need to disable cookies for each type of browser or device separately. If you disable or reject cookies, please note that some parts of the Site may become inaccessible or may not function properly.
You can choose not to allow us to send you push notifications at any time by adjusting the permissions on your mobile device.
If you do not want to share, you can turn off the GPS location, microphone, camera or other similar features on your mobile device. You can also hide your location, uploaded videos, time of recent activity and other information by adjusting the "Privacy" settings.
You can choose not to provide us with personal information, but this may prevent you from using certain features of the Hawa Services, as such information may be required to register as a user, purchase paid services, participate in promotions, surveys, sweepstakes or file a complaint.
You can change the mobile advertising identifier in your mobile device or limit ad tracking through the privacy settings of your mobile device. You can change your information by editing your profile in the App, including accessing your information, correcting or updating your information or deleting your information.
8. Your Rights
- The laws of some jurisdictions give Hawa users specific rights, which are described in this section. You may have all or some of the rights described below, subject to applicable law. We will respond to your request as soon as possible (usually within one month) after appropriate verification processes and in compliance with applicable law. You will generally exercise these rights free of charge, unless we determine that a fee is required under applicable law.
- Access Rights - You may submit a request to access the personal information we have collected about you by (a) using the help or feedback features on the Hawa Services, or (b) by emailing your request to service@hawatalk.com.
- Right to Correction - You may submit a request to correct the personal information we have collected about you by (a) using the help or feedback features on the Hawa Services, or (b) by emailing your request to service@hawatalk.com.
- Right to Deletion - You may request to delete the personal information we have collected about you by (a) using the help or feedback features on the Hawa Services, or (b) by emailing your request to us. Although we cannot guarantee complete deletion of your data stored on our backup servers, we promise not to use the data on our backup servers for any other purpose.
- Right to data portability - If your personal information is collected based on your consent, you can ask us to transfer some of your personal information to you or another environment specified by you (if technically feasible) in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format by (a) using the help or feedback function on the Hawa Services, or (b) sending us an email at service@hawatalk.com with your request.
- Right to withdraw consent - If your personal information is collected based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time and ask us not to continue to collect or process your personal information by (a) using the help or feedback function on the Hawa Services, or (b) sending us your request by email. Your exercise of this right will not affect the processing activities that occurred before your withdrawal.
- Right to restrict processing - If you believe that your personal information has been collected unlawfully, or you have other reasons, you can ask us to stop processing your personal information by (a) using the help or feedback function on the Hawa Services, or (b) sending us your request by email at service@hawatalk.com. We will review your request and respond accordingly.
- Right to object - If we collect any of your personal information based on legitimate interests, you may object to the processing at any time by (a) using the help or feedback function on the Hawa Service or (b) sending us your request via email at service@hawatalk.com. Please note that we may deny your request if we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests and freedoms, or if the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
- No Sale of Personal Data - We do not sell your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will not share your information with third parties for financial gain.
- Your Privacy Choices - If you would like us to stop sharing your data with third parties (for non-essential service purposes), you can contact us at service@hawatalk.com.
- Access and Control Your Data - You have the right to access your personal data and understand how we use and share your data. You can request access to your data at service@hawatalk.com. We will respond to your request within 1-3 days.
- Rights Regarding Automated Decision-Making and Profiling - If you believe that such automated decision-making and profiling has a significant legal or similar impact on you, you can ask us to stop automated decision-making or profiling by (a) using the help or feedback function on the Hawa Service, or (b) sending us your request via email at service@hawatalk.com. We will review your request and let you know whether your request complies with relevant laws and regulations.

- We do not knowingly collect or store personal information from persons under the age of 18. If we learn that personal information from persons under the age of 18 has been collected on or through the Hawa Services, we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

9. Retention of Your Information
We will retain your Personal Information and other information for as long as you maintain your Hawa account.
You may request deletion of your account at any time through My > Settings > Account Management > Delete Account in the App or by emailing service@hawatalk.com.
Upon such request and appropriate review by us, we will delete data that is not required to be retained due to regulatory, tax, insurance, litigation or other legal requirements.
For example, we will retain location, device and usage data for as long as reasonably necessary; while retaining such data, we may also use it for safety, security, fraud prevention and detection, and research and development purposes.
In some cases, we may not be able to delete your account, for example, if there is a balance in the account or there are unresolved claims or disputes. Once we resolve the issue preventing deletion, we will delete the account as described above.
We may also retain certain information if necessary for safety, security and fraud prevention purposes. For example, if we deactivate a user account due to unsafe behavior or security incidents, we may retain certain information about that account to prevent that user from opening a new Hawa account in the future.
10. Our Policy Regarding Children
Our Services are not intended for users under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18 and believe that he or she has disclosed personal information to us, please contact our customer service immediately. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will cease processing such information and take reasonable steps to promptly delete the relevant information from our records.

11. Changes and Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may modify or revise our Privacy Policy from time to time. Although we may attempt to notify you of significant changes to this Privacy Policy, you should periodically check the latest version of the Hawa Services to be aware of any changes, as they are binding on you.
If we make any changes to the Privacy Policy, the date of the change will be reflected in the “Last Updated Date”. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

How do I disable USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT?
To remove the USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT permission on Android 14, follow these steps:
1. Open your phone settings: Find and tap the phone's "Settings" icon on the home screen to enter the phone's settings page.
2. Go to application management: On the "Settings" page, find the "Applications" or "Application Manager" option and click it. This
will list all the applications you have installed on your phone.
3. Select an application: Find the application you want to remove the "USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT" permission from the application
list, and then tap the application to enter its application settings page.
4. Manage permissions: In the application settings page, find the "Permissions" option and click to enter. In the permissions list,
look for permissions related to full screen, which can be directly displayed as the "USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT" permission, or related
expressions such as "Show full screen notifications".
5. Disable permissions: Click the switch button next to the permission to disable it, and you can remove the
"USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT" permission for the application. Once turned off, the app will no longer be able to use full-screen
notifications.
It should be noted that turning off permissions for certain apps may affect the use of their normal functions. Before doing so, make sure you understand the impact of disabling this permission on the app.
2. Third parties
In order to conduct data statistics and anti-fraud measures, as well as to protect your account and transaction security, Hawa may integrate third-party SDKs such as Tongdun SDK, ThinkingData SDK, HTTPDNS SDK.
In order to provide users with a better chat, live broadcast and social experience, Hawa has also integrated Yunxin SDK, Agora SDK and Tencent Cloud Real-time Audio and Video SDK.
13. YouTube API Services
Our products use YouTube API services. By using these services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, which can be found at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
Furthermore, you acknowledge and agree that our processing of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, which can be found at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
When you use features in our products that are related to third-party API services, information is automatically collected. By using these features, you agree to abide by the terms of service provided by the third party. For example, our products use YouTube API services. By using these services, you agree to abide by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy when processing your data.
We temporarily store the data returned by the YouTube API and delete the cached data after 30 minutes.
